New Years Weekend: Top Ten Hop!

The end of a year is a great time to take stock - where are you at? How far have you come in the last year? What were your expectations for the past year, and did you achieve them? What surprises came your way?

Creatively, it's always a good idea to take stock of our work, too...so this weekend, we're posting our favorite cards sent to our heroes in 2011! Join us by creating a blog post with your own top ten cards you've sent in; you may have fewer, and that's okay - we just want to visit around and see what everyone is most proud of!

What's a hop without some candy? We've got another OWH/Hero Arts stamp set to give away to a lucky winner...it will go to a commenter on one of the linked blogs. The more you comment on, the more chances you have to WIN! Winner will be chosen Monday night January 2nd, midnight PST!

Go have fun, get inspired, and share your own inspiration with the rest of us!

Happy New Year to OWHers -- and a blessed new year to our troops and their loved ones.

So many cards -- so hard to choose. But, I must confess that my favorite cards of the year were not my own. They were the ones that the employees of McGraw-Hill and the customers of Scrapbook Art made at our first annual Global Volunteer Day card-making event.

Thought I'd give one last shout out to everyone involved in this fabulous project!

It's so much fun to look back at the cards I made this year, especially since it was my FIRST year to make cards for OWH and to blog about it!

Linda, I love your cards, especially the way you pieced the papers for the Christmas tree and the beautiful peace card. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
Cora, the safari cards are stunning. If I had those images and paper I'd make dozens of cards using them. Beautiful!
Carol L, red/white/blue is one of my favorite combinations, and your cards using these colors are fantastic. I especially like your use of embossing (even more than one pattern on the same card, which I've not tried) and how you cut images (tree) and backing rectangles into strips.
I've only looked at the first nine blogs so far and have really been inspired. Really need to get an account which allows me to leave comments on everyone's blog!

I had a lot of fun going back through cards I had made this year for OWH.. I had made and sent in quite a bit, so finding 10 was no easy feat, but it sure was fun! thanks for a great idea to do this. Happy New Year to you all!!!

Thank you for this. It's a good way to stimulate my mojo. I just haven't been able to make cards and this inspires me to try it again. So many memories.
