This week allow me to introduce you all to Ardeth from Arizona. I'm excited to be able to share some of her wonderful cards and her OWH story here with you this week. Ardeth does not have a blog so be sure to say hello and leave here a comment here at the end of this post.

How long have you been stamping?
I started scrapbooking and stamping about 12 years ago.

Do you have a craft room or specific area where you stamp/craft?
Yes, I have a den in my small apartment that is technically my scrap/computer room. However, I enjoy watching TV while making cards so I have everything necessary on my dining room table where I can see it.

What are your favorite stamp/craft products?
I enjoy embellishments of any kind, punches and clear stamps.

Do you have a favorite technique?
I like layering colors and inking edges in coordinating colors with patterned paper.

Are there colors you love to include on your cards?
No specific ones, it usually depends on the pattern paper I am using and the theme of the card. I try not to get stuck on the same colors all the time.

How did you hear about Operation Write Home?
A friend on FB "liked" it on her profile, I looked into it and was hooked.

What motivates you to make cards for our heroes?
I have always been very patriotic and love my country. I wore a POW bracelet in high school during Viet Nam. My favorite uncle was career Army. My oldest son joined the Army in 2003, spent 3 years in Korea and 1 year in Afghanistan. He plans to stay in at least 20 years. The sacrifices our Heros make as well as their families means the world to me. Making cards for them is the least I can do.

Our growing list of challenges:
  1. Impression Obsession is starting us off on the right foot - go check out their blog for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to their store!! They hosted a one-day hop with some gorrrrrgeous birthday cards by their DT. Be sure to go leave Mitra some love on their challenge blog!

I had the pleasure of working with Ardeth at an OWH cardmaking event for "Little Craft Box" meet-up group in Phoenix, AZ on July 30th. She was just whipping those cards out left and right! Awesome work, Ardeth!

I hope to work with you again with this project!

I love your cards! The "I miss you" card I especially like - I've created rosettes by folding paper but haven't thought about just using squares. And the flower in the center makes it all the more adorable.
