Tutorial - Stair Step Fold
Before I jump into this week's tutorial, I just want to comment about how great it was to see so many people enjoying last week's pinwheel cards. It means a lot to me when people learn new things and have fun with the tutorials.
This week is the Stair Step Fold. It's a fun three-dimensional card, and is easy to make.
Start with a piece of cardstock for your base measuring 5-1/2" x 10-1/2".
Score the paper at 1-1/4", 2-1/2", 4-1/4", 6", and 8-1/4".
It's hard to see the folds in the straight-0n view. You can see them better on the right. Also you might notice I "lined" the bottom of my card with light cardstock because that's going to be the only writing space on this card, and we want to remember the whole reason for sending the cards is so our Heroes can write home.

Also, both my samples this week are a tribute to this weekend's sticker skip. Stickers have never been my thing, so I'm looking forward to learning something!
Here's a video tutorial on the Stair Step Fold from Splitcoast Stampers:

I am so happy to see this tutorial. I've seen these type of cards all over blog land and wanted to try my hand at it. I can't wait to do just that.
Thanks
Awesome!! I can't wait to try this! Thanks for always bringing us the best ideas!!
You know what you could do? You could put a pinwheel on one of these stair step cards!! LOL!! (But seriously, that would be cute!)
Julie, don't even bait me like that LOL!!! This is a great card. Love the green one.
This is cool! I bet kids would especially love these... almost like playing hide-n-seek as it unfolds. Nice samples!
Such a great idea to use the folded flowers at the back panel.
Cheers
Sonia
