Featured Friday: Christine W., Lake Placid, FL

This week I'd like you all to meet Christine and be inspired by her terrific cards! Christine doesn't have a blog but you can see more of her cards in online galleries at StampTV and over at Split Coast Stampers and of course you can leave your comments at the end of this post.

How long have you been stamping? I have been stamping for about 2 years.

Do you have a craft room or specific area where you stamp? I have a craft closet in our guest room! It is perfect, my husband made a fold down table, added a fluorescent light and shelves. When we have company all I have to do is close the door to the closet.

What are your favorite stamp products?  That's a hard question to answer. I love my cuttlebug and nestabilities. Lately I have been using alot of Crystal Laquer and Liquid Pearls.

Do you have a favorite technique? I don't really have a favorite technique. I like trying all different ones that I find on the web.

Are there colors you love to include on your cards? Lately it seems I have been using brighter colors, but I usually go with browns! I am more in my comfort zone with neutrals.

How did you hear about Operation Write Home?
I have been a member of Stamptv for almost 2 years and one of the ladies had a post about OWH and I wondered what it was about. I went online and researched it and decided it was something that I could do.

What motivates you to make cards for our heroes? I think that all our soldiers and their families need to know that we support all the sacrafices they go through daily fighting for our freedom. They are away from their families and friends for months, and knowing that a card I made is going to be sent to a loved one means alot. I also enjoy reading all the emails from the units who get the cards.

It's hard to believe you've only been stamping for 2 years! All your cards are exceptional! If you start a blog of your own, I'll be a follower for sure!

You've certainly come a long way in 2 short years with your card creations! They're all wonderful, and it's so nice getting to know you! I envy you for having a way to fold up everything and close the door when company comes! I'd need a mighty big closet to be able to do that here! LOL

Your cards are fabulous, Christine!!!
I'm glad I don't have to choose a favorite, because I like every one. :)

Christine, Wonderful cards!! I love the birthday card with the duck popping out of the box. Very clever. You do such a great job of centering attention on the main image, using dp and embellishments to show that up instead of overwhelm it. Can't believe you've only been doing cards for 2 years! You're a natural!!

I viewed all of your cards and am inspired by your talent and your style. I have bookmarked your cards and would like to use them for inspiration. You have shown me a whole new aspect in card making.
