What a great question! How about another 234 years? Could I give the USA more time? I guess we all can, as long as we remember what it took to get here. Happy Independence Day! Lisa :-)
The best birthday gift would be for the wars to end so that all the troops could come home. Of course, then who would we make cards for? :)
A birthday gift to America ... A BIG BEAUTIFUL HANDMADE CARD, of course, what else? :)
wonderful digis, thanks so much!!! Also looking forward to seeing what everyone creates!!!
CARDS! Lots of cards for everyone! :) What fun this is!
Peace and all of the troops home with their families.
I would always support and be there for America no matter what!
A birthday gift to America....JOBS, JOBS and more JOBS!! Happy Birthday America!
From Miss Congeniality, the answer would have to be "World Peace"... beneficial not only to the USA but to the whole world. Thanks for another great Blog Tour!!! God Bless our Heroes ~past, present, and future. Hugs, Loni
What a wonderful question. How about a lifetime of birthdays, freedom and lots, lots of homemade cards for everyone.
Well since I just lost a dear friend to cancer last week, I'd love to be able to give the US (and the world) a cure for cancer.
Since one of my grandma's lived through a time in her life when she was left on the streets hungry I'd give America food so no one would have to go hungry.
A thought provoking question!
I guess we should all pray for our country's leaders to take us on the right path to peace, economic recovery, jobs, etc., etc.
I would not only like to give the country a balanced budget for its birthday, I'd like to give it a surplus so that everybody that wants to work can find a job, people in need will be able to receive and education for all would be restored.
So much fun! I need to go make a birthday card!
I already give what I can to my nation - the service of my hubby. :) Is there any better gift then to serve, anyway?
I would give America peace and appreciation, she's worked hard for us all these years, as we've worked hard for her.

Tough, Tough question.
I would probably try to give the country the beauty queen answer, World Peace.
That way we would not have to have our military overseas in combat zones. If they were stationed overseas they could have family with them.
The way it should be.
I would give America a reminder of the principles on which she was founded, a unity in following those same principles, a desire to live unselfishly, a deep faith and by giving her those things, I would also be giving her a better future.

PEACE!
PEACE!
PEACE!
Let us all pray for Peace and hope that some day we will have all our Troops safely back home!!
Happy Birthday America!!
I would give America back all of the jobs and all of God's creatures that have been lost in the Gulf.
Peace, jobs, & economic freedom!

Awesome! Thanks for the digis. . . they are so cute and I can't wait to use them!!!
Lets see. . . a birthday gift for the country - I'm a bit strapped for cash (spent it all on paper) how about a big hug for each and every hero who makes it possible - and a really big cake! Who doesn't like cake. . right? Happy blog tour everyone!
I would give America enough food so that no one goes hungry. God Bless America!
What a thought provoking question! I'm going to say that my gift would be a warm bed and full belly for everyone.
The end to all wars. A world without hate, an end to poverty
and total tranquility
thank for the digi ... looking for to seeing everyone cards... have a great 4th...
my gift would be to plant more flowers-milk weeds to save our Monarchs..
Wow - that's a good one! The gift I would give to our nation is to end the wars overseas and swiftly and safely bring back all of our Fathers, Mothers, Sisters, Brothers and Friends from overseas serving our great nation. Happy a safe and happy 4th of July Holiday everyone : ) Susan B. {sbartist}
I would gift everyone in the world with true compassion and tolerance for others. Then we could all understand each other and work to solve problems the world over and in so doing, solve America's problems too.
Lots of beautiful cards posted already!
If I could give America a birthday gift this year it would be a giant cork to put in that wretched oil well to stop it up once and for all... that would be a gift for everyone living in the gulf states AND for the wildlife.
Happy birthday USA! My birthday gift would be less stress for everyone. Also our military were back safe and sound.
I would really like to give our nation peace....
The gift I would give to America on her 234th birthday is to defend her and our troops until the day I die and to never take our way of life for granted.
Oh, these digis are soo cute. I can't wait to print them. If I could give anything to America it would be love for my neighbors, a helping hand when needed. I think we could all use that at times.
My gift would be peace so that the wars could end. God bless America!!!
Thanks so much for the digis. I love them! They'll show up on some OWH cards in the future. :)
The gift of tolerance and friendship among each other. Together we are stronger
(and thanks for the great digis!)
WOW.. what a great question.. I would say PEACE for all.. peace of mind, heart, soul, peace.. where there is no more wars, peace in all aspects for everyone.. thanks so much for another amazing hop/tour.. you are amazing..
thanks for the chance to win too.. crossing fingers AND TOES :)
HUGS
I would give the USA a healthy economy and peace throughout the land.
Thanks for those adorable digis and the chance to win some new goodies. If I could, I'd give America back her manufacturing jobs, so we could all be working and earning a living again!
I would thank America for the freedom tthat we have have.
Happy Birthday to America! A gift to America - if I could bottle up the peace, love and joy that we as paper crafters have for one another all over the world I would cap it, send it, and have it spread all over this country so every single American could experience what we have! The love, helpfulness, courage, sincerity that we have for one another in this 'paper' world could go a long way!
I remember reading of how this country pulled together as one nation under God during WWII. I saw this same thing after the tragedy of 911. I would like to give this country that singleness of purpose without a national tragedy causing it.
I would give everyone in the country a day of total peace.
I'd give our country enough money to get out of debt, so we could finally pay our Armed Forces what they are worth!
The cards are amazing!!!!! What more can I say????
A people who would "pledge their lives, their fortunes and their scared honor". Happy Independence Day everyone!
Thank you for the cute digi's!! Love them!! I would give America: Peace, Love and Happiness!!
Happy Independence Day!!
May The USA to back to great nation is was. Happy 4th to all with hugs. May God Bless our Service people and those with much sorry on them.
I think most of us would wish to give this great nation peace and bringing all the young men & women home to their loved ones... thank you for all that you do....
I would give America Peace as so many others have said. God Bless America the Beautiful!
I agree with all the peace, love and JOBS! I think I would give this country some rest. Kind of like a parent when then need the 9 screaming kids to take a time out. She never gets to just breathe and be the wonderful country that She is.
Peace, prosperity, and I think a little rest is in order. We have fought the world's battles for so long-it would be nice if we could have at least a little time off to relax and enjoy this beautiful country.
I would say I would give America jobs & lots of them. There are so many unemployed right now, including my husband.... rough times!
I'm off to hop! Thanks so much for all the fun!

If I could Gift America, I would give:
*Food for all Americans
*homes for all families that are homeless
*4 day work weeks, so we could celebrate being Americans more on the weekends (plus save on gas and oil, and cut back on pollution--commuting)
* year round schooling with a 3 week break each quarter.
* Fireworks and celebration for BEING AMERICA more than just on INDEPENDENCE DAY (day the declaration was signed)...how about when we actually won the revolution, and became a country. When the capital building was build and I would also include December 7th and September 11th.
Susan
Having just lost my beautiful sister to Cancer, I would give happiness, good health, and PEACE!
Thank you so much for the wonderful digis! Love the full sheets as well as the individual images- makes it so easy for me!
My wish for America- I wish peace and security for all! I wish health and happiness. I wish strength and prosperity. And lastly I wish pride for each and every citizen.
Thank you for another fun time!
Can't wait to start the hop.
My gift would be love and respect for others.
The present I would give would be support, love and respect.
I would give our country a congress full of people who have our country's best interests at heart and a desire to serve above all the differences.
Patty
Wow...what a request....I would give it solar power, which would provide jobs and better economy and of course lots of handmade cards!!!!
I can't wait to start "touring"
Happy Birthday America!!!
if I could give us a presents, I would give us a day where there are no worries .. no cancer, no economic strife, no loved ones at war, everyone would be happy for one entire day and not worry about a thing
My gift would be peace so our men and women in uniform could come home safe and sound.
By the way, I tried to download the cute dog set and since then my computer email is not working. If it continues, I will have to hire professional help to get it going as it is very very important in my life to get and receive emails. You may want to have that file checked before it affects any other users. Of course I said the file was from a trusted source, yet since I tried I cannot bring up gmail.

My first gift to America would be a health care system that would provide quality care to everyone. Hopefully this would provide many jobs for the current unemployed.
My gifts to America:
Heros:
You had my dad in the Air Force for 28 years, and
my nephew currenty in Afghanistan.
Food: for every family every day
Education: cheap enough for anyone with a desire for further education beyond High School could go.
Trades: That people learn trades that computers cant take away. Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, we need young people to learn these skills
Creative time: for everyone to be able to craft, paint, or take time to do a hobby every day.
Volunteers, Humanitarians for AMERICA.....
lets take care of our United States.
Simple, I would give everyone a job :)
I'd give our troops a safe return home to their families. And of course I'd also give a great big birthday card!
Thanks for the digis sandy!
My comment would be too long, so if you really want to know, please visit my July 3 blog at http://becca-expressions.blogspot.com/2010/07/why-i-care.html
Since I found OWH, all I can think about is making cards, so my answer would be I'd give America a fancy handmade Valentine card to express how much I love my country and how blessed I am to live here!
Such a FUN blog hop! Thank you Sandy for your continued vision and leadership for OWH - it's such a blessing to so many!!!
I would give America the gift of RESPECT & LOYALTY - that all her citizens would respect the freedom we have in this great nation and respect the lives of those who have and are currently sacrificing for that freedom. And loyalty - that all of us would realize what a gift it is to live in this great nation and be loyal to her, fight for her and be willing to do whatever we need to so that she stays strong. Happy Birthday America - you are loved!!!
Dana K.
Wow....that's a hard one. If I had a chance for one wish it would be to find cures for all the terrible diseases. Happy 4th!
I wish I could give America prosperity and peace.
Wow...the best gift huh, I'd love to give the country a way to get back to the core principals we were founded upon, Our views have become so clouded, and judgemental, that we fail to remember our humble beginnings. If we could just find a way to get back to the simpler things, and embrace the values of our ancestors, we'd be alot happier, and pave the way for our children to prosper...Happy 4th!
I would give to America the freedoms we have lost lately, give her back the integrity, honesty, morals, commitment on which she was founded.
Wow, a gift for America...Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, as that was what set us on this great journey. And for all our troops to come home safely!
I would give reliable, cheap, and eco-friendly energy.
I love what you have going on here! I have joined in on the tour. The gift I would give America is the ability for all to com together in peace, joy, happiness, and prosperity.
It's hard to choose just one gift but peace would be at the top of my list!
My gift to America? Peace and Prosperity
DianeL
loyaz1@wbhsi.net
Plain and simple, peace.
Great blog hop! Peace would be the best gift ever....
Peace would always be nice but I think it would be great if we could give our nations service men and woman higher wages! Its pretty sad that our entertainment ( football, baseball etc) get more then the people protecting and serving our country!
I finished I have been working all day today to get through. What a great group of cardmakers! I am so glad to be a part of this. I also made fifteen Halloween cards today.
It's been a good day.
Yippee! Love these blog hops. I would love to give America enough food so that none shall go hungry.
Day 2 of my blog tour :)
I would gift America:
*national ice cream night-monthly
*Make sparklers LEGAL again for the 4th of July, in EVERY state.
* a CAP on college tuitions, for ALL Colleges and Universities
* NO Ins. CAPS for catastrophic illnesses, birth defects etc.

* A national Kool-Aid and Popsicle week for adults (help them to remember their inner child)
* Mandatory Computer,TV and Video game black out days weekly...get out, exercise etc.(1 day a week)
I would give peace, jobs and prosperity to all of America and another 200 years of freedom.
Sandy, your digis are too, too cute! Ciara is just adorable! Thank you so much for these!
Peace, prosperity, and unity would be my gift to America.
Another week of vacation days a year so everyone could enjoy family and friends more. (And a peach cobbler for 4th of July celebrations!!!)
This Blog Hop has been one fantastic journey. I'm not quite done yet but the collective talent here is awesome. In case I missed leaving someone some love I'll say 'Thanks to all of you... job well done.'
My gift to America? Peace. Inner peace so our lives would be less stressful and peace for all mankind so our troops can ALL return home.
I'm having fun on this blog tour.....half way thru now....thanks for the free digis!!!
How about to end the war and safely bring the troops back home!!! Then we could all just start making 'Thank You' cards for the troops...saying 'Thanks for what you did' in PAST tense instead of PRESENT tense!!! Having our men and women HOME...all of them!!! God Bless our Nation and our troops ....past and present!!! Happy Birthday America!!
thanks you for a marvelous hop. God Bless you.
I've had such a wonderful time touring blogs .. didn't make it to all, but have to go celebrate 2 birthdays .. the nation's and the boyfriend's sister.
Thanks Sandy and others for all the time organzing and contributing to this
I think I would give our nation a
hug. I know that sounds silly, but right now we all need a hug. Times are not as good as we have seen in the past in our homeland, and improvement seems so far away, so a hug gives hope and lets you know you are not alone.
Thanks for the wonderful digis. We just got a puppy so these images sure will get good use.
A birthday gift for our country--how about teaching everyone about protecting the environment.
Happy Birthday America! I think that America has so many wonderful things already so I would give friendship, love and laughter. I would also like to invent a magical transportation device so I can travel in an instant to your beautiful country and of course you can use it to travel to England in return xxx
Thanks for the fantastic digis.
My birthday present pick would be all our brave soldiers home safe and sound.
Thanks for the chance to win!
THANKS FOR DIGI STAMPS ARE AWESOME....
PEACE, LOVE, SUPPORT TROOPS......
GREETINGS FOR PUERTO RICO....
http://babynjondreams.blogspot.com/
Faith, Hope and Charity! Who couldn't use more of these?
Thank you for the goodies!
I would offer peace and safety... and a delicious cake. Happy 4th of July to everyone.
Eco friendly water, air, and land to continue to treat this land wonderfully and a promise not to build anymore...that's what I would give it. You know, they just are NOT making anymore land, but shopping centers and houses continue to be made. It certainly has given me a wonderful place to live, work, and see all the wonderful places in this fine land.
I would give America the love..and lots of it. I truly believe that love conquers anything. Happy Birthday America!!
More love in everything, specially families and all relationships... and of course, that love could be shown with cards :)
Ardilla
peace, love and understanding... not just a line from an Elvis Costello song, but my Birthday wish for America and all who reside within her boundaries.
I wish for America to have peace, food and house for our homeless and hungry and jobs for all. I wish this for America becauase I give a gift every day as my son is a Marine and I miss him desprately and want so much for him to return home.
so many things to give the USA for it's birthday. All of my sons have served or are serving all ready, so I guess I'll have to think of smoothing else. Howl about everyone treating each other with respect and give. Maybe that will be the beginning of a less economic down turn for us all.
Bring the troops home and end this war!
What a FUN tour...thanks for doing it! I will be making several cards to send in with the ones I already have made!
Indeed a great question! I would give America all my love for her birthday. What better gift can one give?
I put up my third day post in the wee hours this morning/last night...with an apology, and then added the cards a little while ago. PLEASE come visit :)
I would further gift America:
Democracy and Humanity the world over, so we wouldn't have to go in and intervene.
God Bless America, God Bless our Troops!
Susan
I'd give her the wisdom to know who her friends are and the courage to support them.
I would give America a new heart.
A heart for her people
A heart for her troops
A heart for the hurt and broken
A heart for her neighbors
A heart for the God that blessed her so richly.
Atten: JOCSIE #47...My computer security will not allow me to access your blog. I am guessing you have some sort of advertisements on there...which means at least one of them has spyware attached to it, you may want to check this out.
Susan
If it were in my power, I would forgive America all her foreign and domestic debts so we could start anew with lower taxes and better services to all her citizens. Being in debt is such a burden on individuals, organizations and countries. That's what I'd give America as a big birthday present.
My birthday present to America would be an unlimited supply of food so that we may never have a hungry child ever again.
I would like to exchange links with your site www.blogger.com
Is this possible?
Those cards are really amazing! Did you make them all by yourself? Well i guess the best gift that America can have as of the moment is love and peace.
